So a few days ago we heard of an incident in the US where thousands of blackbirds had dropped dead from the sky, sparking off theories around the world, from the end of days, to HAARP, to a secret military experiment or a biological attack. Within 36hours this mysterious phenomenon went nationwide, with reports coming out of Louisanna and Kentucky, now another 24hours on there are reports coming in from around the world of similar incidents, such as:
Thousands of fish found floating in Florida after cold snap
200 birds found dead on highway bridge in Texas
50 dead jackdaws found on city street in Sweden
100 tons of sardines, croaker and catfish wash up dead on Brazilian coast
Hundreds of fish dead in New Zealand
And in Britain, 40,000 devil crabs join list of casualties
Now this rules out the firework theory and that is what caused these deaths, it almost certainly rules out a disease that effects one species, though it does not rule out disease overall. Many people are saying that this is a secret military experiment gone wrong, some say that this is a biological incident or attack and dooms-sayers, as usual say that Humanity is in the "end of days" (they often refer to the movie "the core", where birds started dropping out of the sky because our core has stopped spinning).
Personally i cannot decide what has happened, this event is truly disturbing and the rapid global spread of whatever is happening is terrifying. Have you decided what you think is causing this event? Are you concerned?

My source spins quite a tale about the Met Office. The gist of it is this: The Met Office publicly published winter predictions for Europe for mild temperatures. At the same time, it apparently told the government (UK) in confidence that this winter would be more severe than average.
I realize my source is a skeptical website but regardless, does anyone have any concrete information on this? It would seem to me that if the UK government had this info yet did not bolster salt levels or winter maintenance budgets, I would imagine the public might be irritated by that.
(Note, this is my third attempt at this question. My links are obviously being the problem. This time, I only have a news source. If they stop questions with news sources as the links we have a problem.)

Eric, I know that it (my previous question) has not been deleted but it has been removed from the main stream. Can you see it in the Global Warming section? I can’t.

I thought this was going to be an early April Fool’s Day prank, but apparently, this rumor has been circulating for the past few days. She also seems to have her eye on the role of Ilsa Lund.

Personally, I think this is going to be an epic – an epic DISASTER! Not to rant, but I think it’s clear that acting in movies is not Madonna’s thing at all. She especially has no business to think about remaking anything, never mind a 1942 Oscar classic. And Madonna playing Ilsa? I think Ingrid Bergman is spinning in her grave even as I type this.
Your thoughts, please.

True fat is genderless but a fat guy don’t go entering the Mr Universe contest.
