I’ve read a few posts today that indicate the attitude that women who are raped absolutely should get abortions or that they all want to get abortions.
Here is an article that has some opinions from rape victims as well as studies. It is from a pro-life site, but I think the testimony in it is valid seeing as the info comes from people who have been there. I am pro-life but I try to find articles that aren’t bias…. not very successful on this subject. There is always a spin.

I love it when people tell me that I’m not open minded because of the stances I take on certain issues. What they fail to realize is that I have the views I have because I am open minded. My views are always open to evaluation and reevaluation. I was raped once, and at that time in my life I would have considered having an abortion if I had become pregnant. My life experiences have changed my mind about many things.

I have a word on the tip of my tongue to put in an essay I’m writing, but I just can’t think of it. It’s the term used for when an author puts a spin on an article or book that they’ve written to influence the reader. It normally happens when the reader assumes everything is real.
In school last year we talked about it in textbooks. That textbooks in the US can tell the same piece of history as one from Europe but have a completely different spin on it.
It’s one word. I hope somebody can help me figure it out
BIAS!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH

Excerpts:
WASHINGTON (AP) – Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama was less than upfront in his half-hour commercial Wednesday night about the costs of his programs and the crushing budget pressures he would face in office.
Obama’s assertion that "I’ve offered spending cuts above and beyond" the expense of his promises is accepted only by his partisans. His vow to save money by "eliminating programs that don’t work" masks his failure throughout the campaign to specify what those programs are—beyond the withdrawal of troops from Iraq.
A sampling of what voters heard in the ad, and what he didn’t tell them:

Do you agree with this, or are they simply demonstrating anti-Obama bias like most of the MSM? HA!

I have read that women with college degrees are more likely to self-identify as "feminist". This is often stated as "well-educated women are feminists". But what makes a person well-educated?
1) A college degree
2) A knowledge of classic literature
3) The ability to read and understand the newspaper
4) The ability to sort out the "spin" and bias of a news article
5) an understanding of history
6) an understanding of the "big picture" (wars are fought by people with varying beliefs, not "good guys" vs. "bad guys" for example)
Or is it something else entirely? And finally, does your defnition of "well-educated" support the ideologies of modern feminism? (The feminism of Friedan, De Beauvoir, MacKinnon, Faludi, etc.)
Great point, Tracy: I’ll add another possible choice – the ability to see the "shades of grey".

I agree with their opinion on stopping the Asian carp flow…blocking access to the basin should be our first priority for that.
But I shouldn’t even know their opinion on the matter, as a good journalist wouldn’t inundate his articles (or articles taken from other sites, like this one which is from Associated Content) with bias to the point of being an Op-ed and call it "news".
so tell me: is this a good example of the terrible news bias of Yahoo News?
