I LOVE THE MAGAZINE. I got a new copy in today. It has some cool articles such as facts about fluorocarbon, 5 rat-l-trap type lures you must have, and the best pint-sized ultra light spinning reels.
Anyone else subscribers?
(PS, you get a free pack of hooks for getting a free mag and signing up.)

Yes, I don’t suscribe to it at this time but for years I read it like it was a Bible.I believe I had the first issues of it, and if memory serves, it was founded by a gentleman by the name of Buck Perry, or at least his articles were found throughout the magazine. The magazine hyped the articles as being wrote by Buck Perry, worlds greatest living fisherman! When I went fishing with my various fishing partners, I would quote the pearls of wisdom he would give in his articles, and they would say "who told you that?" and I would always reply, Buck Perry, world’s greatest living fisherman! And how could they argue with that? (LOL)
yeah, its a great mag.
I’ve read it before and am not receiving it right now the only magazine I get is Bass Master. There are other good fishing magazines out there such as Bass, Crappie and In-fisherman
I’m a little confused. North American Fisherman is trademarked as "The official publication of the North American Fishing Club". As a charter/life member of the NAFC I have received and saved every copy of this magazine that has ever been published. Their most recent issue is Mar. 2009 and has none of the articles you mention. The club/magazine was founded by Bill Miller (founder and current executive director of the North American Hunting Club) and Steve Pennaz (current NAFC executive eirector), and is headquartered in Minnetonka Mn. Did you maybe get the name of the magazine you are referring to slightly wrong? OK, I looked a little farther back and the Feb 2009 issue has the articles you are talking about. Contrary to justintodd’s little rant, club membership (which includes the magazine subscription) is only 18.00 per year. Yes the club does send out promotional info but none of it requires mandatory payment.
Yes I have been getting this mag now for almost a year and a half. My reading period teacher in high school is married to a dentist so she brings in a lot of new and old fishing magazines for us to read so I read A LOT of those. I’m almost never not reading some type of fishing magazine. Good luck fishin’!
P.S.
What the heck I never got any hooks! Dang it!
hey man, i use to subscribe to that magazine until they started charging me all kinds of club fees and stupid crap. i finally got out from under that company and i probably payed about 300 plus dollars so they wouldn’t send me to a collection agency. i started off paying like 10 dollars a month to be in there club until they started shooting me bills for 10 dollars 50 dollars and so forth. man if you get that magazine that is fine just dont try to be a member of there club unless you are ready to for out loads of cash.
but in all honesty my favorite magazine is "IN-FISHERMAN" they are more informative and has better articles than north american. if you havent read one of there mag give them a try.

Ive been subscribing to many fishing magazines over the years! I have actually started to cancel my subscriptions to a few as you may notice this but after a few years they begin to repeat themselves, telling you almost the same thing.
Im currently only subscribed to two-Field&Stream and Fly fishing&Fly tying- the second being a UK based magazine, but for a small (extra) charge will add me to the subscription list.
Nope.
