It’s unfortunate that most men and women do not know how truly simple it is to make money online writing articles on the topics you’re passionate about.

Notice I said it’s simple, but not easy, because it does require a lot of hard work. However, who doesn’t want to spend their days writing articles on their passion and having fun? I have no trouble working hard while having fun!

Making money online by writing about the topics you’re passionate about is a huge topic, but today I’m going to cover three specific steps that will get you started:

1. Watch the Competition

If you’re interested in gardening, look at what other people are selling in your niche. Could you create an ebook on gardening and sell it to your readers?

Even if you don’t have a website, you can create one, put up your ebook and send people to your website with article marketing.

All this information online is overwhelming. I know, because I’ve been there and done that, but once you decide to focus on one thing, it all becomes much easier.

2. Have Your Own Website

As I said above, you want to have your own website, because you want to have a home base where you send your readers.

Your website doesn’t have to be perfect. I see people fumble a lot with trying to make everything perfect. Just start with something and tweak it as you go along. You will learn a lot!

For example, you can easily start a blog, which nowadays are extremely easy to set-up, thanks to some tools that many hosting companies give you.

3. Send Traffic

Once you have everything in place, it’s time to send traffic to your website and start making sales. You do this by using article marketing, just like I am doing now.

This doesn’t mean you can just submit one article and be done with it. You have to stay persistent and experiment.

Provide value in your articles, help people and genuinely care about them and you will go a very long way. You might not succeed instantly, but if you keep learning and persisting, you will!

There are also other ways that you can get traffic, such as wrong search engines, other websites and social media sites, but I’ve found that using article marketing is the best way to get started.

It’s very simple, and reduces the overwhelm factor by a lot. Most of all, it gets you taking action, which is so crucial if you want to do what you love and get paid for it.
